Poultry Farming

by Mar 5, 2026

Did you know that our livestock students do far more than just study from textbooks?  They dive straight into the action, gaining invaluable firsthand experience in the art of incubating eggs, formulating nutritious chicken feed, and mastering the essential vaccination schedules required to keep a flock healthy. This immersive, hands-on training ensures that our students don’t just understand the theory, they graduate with the practical confidence to manage a poultry farm from day one. These interventions are vital because they bridge the gap between basic farming and a successful business. By learning to produce their own feed and manage the incubation process, students learn how to drastically reduce overhead costs, which are often the biggest hurdle for emerging farmers. These skills empower them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs who can provide food security for their families and create sustainable livelihoods within their communities. After carefully following every technical procedure, we are thrilled to see that the eggs have already started to hatch! While these new chicks arrive, the students are simultaneously busy perfecting their feed-making techniques. This comprehensive approach ensures that by the time they leave our campus, they are fully equipped to raise healthy poultry efficiently and cost-effectively.
